2024 Season – Rally Cap Division Birth Years:
Jr. Rally Cap: players born in 2017* – 2019
Sr. Rally Cap: players born in 2015 to 2017*
Advanced Rally Cap : players born in 2015
* Players who were born in 2017 and have played at least one year in Jr. Rally Cap can choose to register in either Jr. Rally Cap or Sr. Rally Cap
* Players who were born in 2015 may also have the option of trying out for the 11U division in their zone
2024 RALLY CAP DIVISION SCHEDULE:
- April 28 Coaches Meetings – 9:00-11:00am – Gordie Howe Training Center
- May 1 OPENING DAY – All Divisions
- June 8-9 Sr. Rally Cap Jamboree, Geoff Hughes Park
- June 22-23 Jr. Rally Cap Jamboree – Kilburn Park
- June 28 Jr. & Sr. Rally Cap & Advanced Rally Cap Season End
- July 1 NO PLAY – Canada Day
- July 6-7 Advanced Rally Cap League End Tournament – Kilburn Park

The Rally Cap Program:
The Rally Cap Program is an initiative to enhance players’ and coaches’ first experience with the game. The program helps teams teach players the five FUNdamentals of baseball in a fun and safe environment. Players have the opportunity to perform different tasks in order to earn a colored Baseball Canada Rally Cap. Cap colors correspond with various levels of achievement. The program is designed for young baseball players.
Goals:
1. Create a fun environment in which children and adults are actively engaged together in the game of baseball.
2. Develop fundamental motor skills, teach baseball skills, and basic rules to our players.
3. Experience success with an emphasis on good sportsmanship.
4. Promote increased self-esteem among Rally Cap children and adults.
5. Recruiting new coaches and volunteers
Program Information for Baseball Saskatoon:
- Jr. Rally Cap (age 4-6 years old)
- Focus on FUNdamentals and baseball development
- Choose a Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu night schedule
- 6:00 pm start time
- 75 minute sessions (30 minutes practice/warm-up, 45 minutes game)
- use of community diamonds
- Game Format
- start with loaded bases
- every player hits every inning
- coach pitch or batting tee
- rotate infield positions after each batter
- Sr. Rally Cap (age 6-8 years old)
- Focus on FUNdamentals and baseball development
- Choose a Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu night schedule
- 6:00pm start time
- 75 minute sessions (30 minutes practice, 45 minutes game)
- use of community diamonds
- Game Format

- 3 strikes and 3 out rule / inning
- players rotate defensive positions
