Summer Baseball Camps:

Monday, July 15th  – Girls only baseball camp! 

 Camps are 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM 

Camps will be hosted at the new Gordie Howe Sports Complex indoor training facility. 

The camp will focus on the Fundamentals in the morning from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We will then break for a provided Subway lunch and sit in a classroom and have a Baseball IQ mental session. We will then move to dynamic drills to use the learned skills in the afternoon from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

GYTC Fall Ball (Travel Team): This is Going Yards premier program and our favorite to coach. This will be our 10th season of running Fall Baseball. We pride ourselves on this program and find that there is major value with the practice and game opportunities that will have a baseball player develop. The perfect mixture of instruction and gameplay to extend each players season and develop their in-game experience.   Age Range: 11 to 18 years old.  The Fall Ball Team package: registrants can expect 2 weekly practices, games, and a culmination tournament in Phoenix, Arizona. By registering for this program you are looking to extend your season with skilled coaches that will work to strengthen the fundamentals of your player in a team setting. Fall Ball players will be designated a dedicated qualified coach and assistant coach. Players can expect approx 20 practices and 8 to 12 games. Players will be placed on rosters and can expect weekday practices intermingled with weekend games/practices. Both home and away exhibition games with fall ball programs in Saskatchewan and Alberta are being arranged. To conclude, we travel to Phoenix for the school break in November to compete in the USSSA Veterans Salute tournament.  – The number of registrants at each age group will determine how many teams are created Prospective Coaches for the 2019 Fall Baseball Program are as follows:   11U – Logan Clewes & Quinn Hersikorn 12U – Jordan Draeger & Craig Hucul 13U Goats – Brody Boyenko & Matt Kosteniuk 13U – Wyatt Schlosser & Jared Libke 14U Goats – Marshall Dean & Jordan Spooner 14U – Nick Anderson & Parker Bessel 15U – Dan Morari & Ethan Ginther 16U – TBD  (Coaches are subject to change)

GOING YARD INSTRUCTIONAL LEAGUE: Age Range: 8 to 16 years old. An instructional 12 week camp including x22 total sessions. The Fall Ball Instructional program will begin on August 10th at 10:00 AM 2019. The program will end on November 2nd, 2019. Batting Practice – Players will be grouped by age between 5:00 PM & 9:00 PM on Wednesdays evenings. These Practices will focus on batting.  Fielding / Pitching / Baserunning practices are on Saturdays are split into two groups. Either 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. During these practices  Scrimmages may also be played during Saturday times. Players will be divided on to teams of a similar age and skill, then coaches through modified indoor or outdoor games.  Fundamentals are the focus and are adaptable to all skill levels. Hitting, pitching, defensive, and mental aspects of the game will be worked on, allowing you to become the best player you can be.
